 Field Status for Laguna Hills Little League

General Guidelines for "Game Time Decisions" or
"Practice Decisions"
- Website status is the official notice for field status.
- If any standing water or slippery mud can't be
rectified (by disbursement or quick dry dirt) on the infield, the dirt
infield should not be used thus canceling the game or use for practice.
(Note
Quick Dry not for use on mounds and is for game time prep only).
- If rain occurs and a ball can't roll across the grass without
getting soaking wet, making the ball heavier and slippery (a hazard) and
additional balls can't address the issue, games should be cancelled and/or
practice should not occur on any part of the grass.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:
All dirt infields (including practice fields) are to be raked in traffic
areas, dragged, lightly watered and covers put on the mound:
- after every practice by the team that used the field
- by the home team
prior to game
- by the visitor team after the last game of the day
This is the responsiblity of the coach/manager and
their game prep volunteers. Failure to maintain the fields will result in
loss of use for practices.
