Registration for 2020 Spring Season is now OPEN with an Early Bird price of only $119 for T-Ball, $159 for Rookie and $199 for A and above.  Prices will increase by $50 on November 1st and again on December 1st.  Your registration fee will cover the costs of uniforms (hat, jersey, belt and socks), team equipment and balls, field permits and insurance.  Each player will need to provide his/her own baseball pants, cleats, protective cup (for boys) and gear (glove, helmet, and bat - lower division teams may elect to share bats). We recommend holding off on purchasing apparel items until after teams are formed and managers have selected team colors.

Spring season runs from early February to mid May.  All players league age 9 (turn/ed 9 before September 1st, 2020) and above will need to attend the mandatory evaluation day on Sunday, January 5th in order to be placed on a team.  League age 7 and 8 year olds may attend if they wish to be drafted to an AA or above team.  Spring season placement is determined via player evaluations and draft.  Fall placement does not mean your player will be placed in the same division in Spring.

Ages below are based on League Age for Spring 2020.

The spring schedule typically consists of one weekday practice and one Saturday game per week for lower divisions.  Upper divisions will have weekday practices and 1-2 games per week - 1 on Saturday and 1 on a weekday.  Teams will be formed at the end of January with practices set to start after the first week in February.  Managers will select a practice day/time based on field availability at Laguna Hills Community Center, Cabot Fields, Costeau and Stockport (for t-ball).

Document Check requirements:

If your player played in Spring 2019 All Stars - you do not need to attend the in-person verification day.  All others must attend an in-person verification in order to be placed on a team.  

Please print and complete the Medical Release Form and Parent Athlete Concussion Form while registering your player(s) and bring to one of the  in-person verification days (dates TBD).  If  you have questions, please email playeragent@lhll.org.

 

Please also bring the following even if you have done this in the past.  Little League International requires this each year.

  • Color copy of your valid driver’s license
  • Copy of player’s birth certificate
  • ONE document from EACH of the following groups of documents. All documents must be dated between 10/1/2019 and 2/1/2020:
     
  • GROUP ONE

    • Driver’s License
    • School records (must show name of child and your home address)
    • Vehicle records (e.g. registration, lease)
    • Employment records
    • Insurance documents (e.g. home, auto, renters)
  • GROUP TWO

    • Welfare/child care records (must show name of child and your home address)
    • Federal records (e.g. federal tax, social security)
    • State records
    • Local (municipal) records (e.g. water bill)
    • Support payment records
    • Homeowner or tenant records (e.g. HOA, insurance, mortgage)
    • Military records
  • GROUP THREE

    • Voter’s registration
    • Utility bills (e.g. gas, electric, water, sewer, phone, mobile phone, trash)
    • Financial records (e.g. loan, credit investment)
    • Medical records
    • Internet, cable, or satellite records

If you will be volunteering for the league in any capacity where you will be interacting with the children (even if just helping in the dug-out or with skills), you will need to have a background check.  We will contact you directly if you need to complete one.
