Little League Green Book rules apply unless specified differently below.
Continuous batting order shall be utilized for all levels.
Single-A Division (player/coach pitch):
- Run Limits: the side will retire after either three outs have been recorded, or five (5) runs have scored. Teams may bat through the order more than one time in an inning if the maximum run limit has not been reached or three outs have not been made.
- The first three regular-season games will be coach pitch.
- From the fourth regular-season game onward, single-A will be a combination of player pitch and coach pitch, as follows: for each batter, a maximum of 5 pitches will be thrown by a player, then up to 3 hittable pitches from a coach if needed, and if a strikeout has not been recorded or a fair ball has still not been hit, the batter will be called out. The exception is if the last of the three coach-pitch pitches was a foul ball. In that case, the at-bat will continue until the first non-foul-ball.
- Any strikes from the player pitch phase of the at-bat will carry over to the coach pitch phase.
- On outfield hits, hitters may advance bases until the ball is returned and breaks the outer plane of the infield
- Little League official pitch count rules (per Green Book) apply for player pitch; 1 inning maximum per pitcher
- The batting team will call balls/strikes on their hitters.
- There are no walks in single-A.
- Runners are not allowed to advance on a passed ball.
- Bunting is not allowed in single-A.
- The Mercy Rule does not apply to single-A
- Official score and standings are not kept
- Time limits: hard stop at 1:30
Rookie Division (coach pitch/Tee):
- Shall play according to the rules above for single-A except:
- Each team shall bat through the number of players present. All players will bat in each inning. If three (3) outs are recorded before batting through the order, the bases will be cleared and batting will continue.
- No player pitching is allowed. Coaches will pitch softly to players on their own team, up to a total of (6) hittable pitches per at bat (not counting foul balls). If player fails to put the ball in play a T will be brought out for 1 swing.
- No new inning after 1 hour; hard stop at 1:15
T-Ball Division (Tee):
- Shall play according to the rules above for Rookie except:
- Each team shall bat through the number of players present. All players will bat in each inning. Batters are awarded first base regardless of outcome of the play. Batters may only progress to first base.
- Runners advance one base per subsequent batter. The final batter of the inning “clears the bases” unless managers discuss pre-game and agree to a different end-of-half-inning conclusion.
- No new inning after 1 hour; hard stop at 1:15
